| Re: Bass - when are they around? welcome to the forum! the bass arive about spring time and leave in autumn. the main reason they come inshore at this time is because carbs start to peel because of the rising temperature, making them easy meals for bass. iv seen people fly fish for them in summer and iv seen people catch dozens on it! its worth a go __________________ never think fishing at distance is better, alot of the time fish are only a few metres out, you just dont realise it |

| i have heard a lot of good things about this fly fishing for bass stuff, its just that i cant really afford to try it still its something that i will look forward t in the future when i do try it. also, an apparently incredible bass spot is the relatively new sea wall/beach protector thing in sheringham in norfolk, people fly fish near or on there all the time, apparantly all you have to do is drop a lure in at yur feet and you will be heaving in the bass! havent been there myself, this is all just word of mouth but the sources are very reliable! ![]() |

| Re: Bass - when are they around? Crumpled Around Chichester the Bass are here all year but in very small numbers November to March. Personally only caught one in January this year and one in January last year both about two pounds but caught quite a few smaller ones in early November. __________________ The road of excess leads to the palace of wisdom.
