| Unhooking Barbed Hooks sorry to keep asking so many questions but i am quite new to this fishing lark. There are doubtless, many threads on this subject,so apologies in advance for this.I'm talking about the great moral struggle regarding barbed hooks. As i've said in previous threads,i've started lure fishing in my local estuary and was wondering what are the odds for a fish being so well hooked as to be un-releasable.I'm talking mainly of Bass.Beautiful eating they may be but, given stocking rates at present,i have no desire to take any but i would give my right arm to catch one Obviously, all lures that i have seen are sold with barbed trebles.Incidently,i have tried crushing the barbs with varying degrees of success. ![]() Any opinions are greatly received. Thanks |
