So far this year in Cumbria it's blacks that's been hammering the bass. Last year it was mostly crab. How times change.... mind you that being said I've seen a lot more bass up this way compared to last year.

went there two weeks ago watney isle and the other one by the lifeboat station rag maccy crab squid herring even mussel not a bite danm didnt think to take lug damn damn

ive used soft shelled edible crabs from the local chinese supermarket bowt same price as english peelers but bigger ,,i think it is the scent wether the hard shell makes a diff i doubt it as fish will eat many things in thier life or try it once i shud imagine ,i mean why eat a bright green wooden lure ?
