Re: Peeler Crab ?? No need for peelers ?

Well said. Effort in and sometimes alot of effort= fish, not all the time but alot more times than sitting and scraching you know what. Good bait helps too, not all the time but it does help as does tides, local knowlege, right times etc etc. I am a mear mortal as bass goes but had 16 good bass this winter on crab that i loved and cuddled and read them a bed time story every night, only to make sure they became prime when i wanted them too, wee drink here and there not to much though, and froze those very few that misbhaved early, my fridge was my castle for those couple of weeks, two guys beside me had cr.p bait = 0 bass sad really. But 16 bass were i live is like phil taylor winning the world champs, as fishing is cr.p full stop. Helps if they are there to catch in the 1st place and good bait. Tight lines.

Re: Peeler Crab ?? No need for peelers ?

Hello all of you

another question , do you believe that with sinking temeratures possibility of catching a bass is less ? my friend tells me , there would be no use going fishing for bass with tempertures of 8 degrees celsius or less ....
any experience ?
appreciate your advice

Re: Peeler Crab ?? No need for peelers ?

Mate had 3 from shore last week to 3.5 lbs, and missed a whopper.
Another friend of mine came with me this time last year for a whiting and doggie bash who had not fished for 15 years and had a 2lber, another mate on same night had 3.
Another fishes regulary and catces at least one every month of the year.
So they are about but not so much in the cold.

if you dont the sea can seem an empty place

cheeky...........camers trick

biggest was nearly a double......i could add a few ounces and say it was .....but never have and never will........second fish is a big 8

best part of 19lb for two........not bad

best four went 41lb 8oz .....what a session.......will try and dig a pic out

a bass around 30 inches has a good chance of being a double figure fish...ive haddem longer and shorter, depends what condition there in

daytimes the time.....big sea plenty of color in the water ....and its bass city
