Lures for bass

Hi all I'm new on here 1st Thread so be nice please
I live and fish in France most of my spear time is taken up with Bass fishing (That's a lie it takes up all my spear time)
Now the French seem to be very good Bass fishermen and have 2 monthly Mag's devoted just to Bass they are very good lure fisherman not fishing with bait much.
Now i would like to know if any of you UK lad's and lasses have done much soft lure fishing ?
If so what have you found to work best and how do you fish your soft lures. From what i can gather most Bass lads in the UK no there stuff with plugs and surface lures but cant seem to find any comments on soft lures ?

Re: Lures for bass

Thanks for the reply 'Pompy'
When you fish your soft lures do you just cast them and retrieve them at different speeds or do you bounce them across the bottom ? Have a look at this clip mate i will open your mind to soft lures.

Re: Lures for bass

Yes
The bloke on the video is a good friend of mine i fish on his boat were we fish with a lot of these lures and catch a LOT of good Bass.Have a look at his web site mate you can read it in English to www.captainoj.com
I think the UK lads are missing out on a very good technique and should try it more often.

Re: Lures for bass

i checked out the video, impressive and i like the way they work in the water, but i just cant quite get used to the idea of the jellie baits.ime a traditionalist but i think that if i was fishing with a jelly man i may give it a go if he was catching more than me!
