blennies

are blennies any good as live bait, i ask as they are very easy to collect from under the rocks during low water and they stay alive for ages in a bucket with a bit of sea weed on top as they do when waiting for high tide under a rock, if they do work whats the best way to use them and keep them on the hook.
cheers

simon

Re: blennies

its getting the pout in the first place cuckoo thats the problem, if there about in good numbers ill chuck something at them with another rod, but if not ill try a big blennie lip hooked.

I dont suppose any bass would pass by a blennie meal if its there in front of em, ill give it a go next week (cornwall hols)

Re: blennies

Yes they will take them.I do remember catching a few small bass on them a few years ago fishing them under a float down the side of the breakwater.
