Re: Any good spots near Norwich area?

Hi Jodz, when the rivers are open again, fish the River Wensum, some nice ones in there. Also, if you can't wait for that fish Cobbleacre Lakes near Hevingham, some smaller barbel in there

Re: Any good spots near Norwich area?

I don't think anywhere else stocks them around here, and the River Wensum is the only river they're in I think..

Re: Any good spots near Norwich area?

Sorry, never fished for them, just know they're in both these venues.

Once hooked a barbel at Cobbleacre Lakes on white choc boilie, but lost it near the net

They are in Barford, I fish there all the time and quite often have around 12-14 in a day session on the pleasure lake as well as about the same number of carp. I fish Barford every week and if you want to know anything about it please feel free to ask me. Its £6 a day, and theres a tackle shop on site as well as a toilet. You can also fish the top lake which is a 15 peg match lake where you can catch carp upto around 12lb all day long if you get the right peg and use the right methods. Visit their website at http://www.barfordlakes.com

Re: Any good spots near Norwich area?

Sounds good Dean.

The Pleasure Lake looks worth a visit. Are the barbel easy to catch, and what do you catch them on? Also what size are they averaging at?
Also, golden tench, chub and orfe easy to get?

Need some points, hehe.

Cheers, Dan
