| I will shortly be fishing the upper Medway & the Eden (Kent) these have both barbell & chub and I have never fished for these. I am returning to fishing after a gap of 40 years. Any advice welcomed |

| Re: Novice There are many techniques for barbel I wont go into all but this is the one I commonly use on the tidal Trent. Tunnel feeder heavy enough to hold bottom on your chosen water, 3 to 5 foot hook link depending on time of day(shorter in the darker hours). ground bait and pellets in feeder, pellet or other bait on hook, this is quite a robust method, if your looking for something slightly more traditional or something with a bit more finess you want to be talking to Boldbear Tightlines __________________ Species 2011..
