Cool Barbel Boiles

Hi all. I'm new to the forum so excuse me if there is any protocols I break!
Ok, I'm making my own boilies and am trying to discover an ultimate barbel concoction to use on the Severn. I have allsorts - flavours, dyes, CSL, Betaine, Liver powder, mollases, storecuboard type stuff etc.
Has anyone got any tips for boilie recipes? I have made up two base mixes - One being fishmeal and the other petfood based but would like advice on additives/quantities?
I am leaning towards making a very hempy boile with a touch of liver and csl and rolling them in powdered betaine when they are cooked.
My little secret is Astofedia (think thats spelt right), supposedly the mose pungent spice in the world!

Any thoughts or advice greatfully received.
Cheers
