Hi Chris,

I fish the upper stretches of the Gt. Ouse near Bedford for Chub n Barbel so I can't really be of much help about the river at Cambridge. but someone else on here may be able to help you.

NB. are there any weirs or narrower streamy stretches near you?

anyway welcome to the forum.

Sorry, I thought you meant the Cambridge in the south of England were the other Great Ouse runs through.
I should have looked at your profile.

NB. I used to fish the Swale around the Richmond area for Grayling in the late 70s, I thought it was a lovely river.

tight lines
