Re: Barbel fishing on the River Severn Hi and welcome to the site, I have never fished the river severn so I am the wrong person to ask but there should be someone else on here that knows the river well. There are quite a few Barbel anglers on here though and we are all willing to share anythiing that we know. I have found the following sites which mention Barbelling on your stretch of the Severn so if you haven't seen them already they might give you some info. http://theoldswan.com/pages.php?page...a2003dc2edb023 http://www.go-fish.co.uk/venue_8189.htm tight lines BB __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now)

Re: Barbel fishing on the River Severn I do fish the servern. As you can see from my login I might not be the guy to ask. From what I've heard the river was rubbish last year (yeah the year I start fishing it) all along BUT I am hoping that the EA will not be buggering around so much with water levels this year. I am concentrating on crucian and my old favourite tench in the early part of the season and am only too willing to share my sessions if it helps (like figuring out what not to do and where not to go :) ). __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Re: Barbel fishing on the River Severn BAA Does have a stretch on the beatiful River Teme that I think is night fishable, have a look at their website. How it fishes I shall be finding out later in the year as I intend to explore this lovely little river a lot more. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk

Re: Barbel fishing on the River Severn For those interested in how the Teme is doing for Barbel & Chubb this season, I'll let you know next week as I am going to Stanford Bridge Sunday for a long session! Unless of course anyone has tried it in the last 3 weeks?

Re: Barbel fishing on the River Severn I might see you down there as I am thinking of a trip there myself. Only problem is I am on standby in case the leccy bills get stuck on the way out so might leave it a few more weeks. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk
