Re: Brighton marina that place has got to be heaving with bass! ive spoke to divers that have had a look and said it was heaving in the summer with wrasse and pollock and a few very nasty looking eels! this was when ther was still lots of wreckage (girders etc) not sure if its been raked out yet! __________________ SCUPPER A COMMERCIAL TOOOO DAY!

Re: Brighton marina & west pier I've been fishing around the west pier in my boat many times, not a thing on the hook or the fishfinder!!!. Maybe I'm not in close enough, scared of the bits and pieces under water. Next time (if the gales ever stop) I'll get in closer and try a spinner. With a lump of mackerel fishing the bottom for good measure. Many thank for your reply. Regard, DBM

Re: Brighton marina Mate of mine was still was getting some good bass at the start of last week near the pier. He either trolls a rubber sandeel out the back or spins for them. Another mate lost his anchor to the wreckage of the west pier

Re: Brighton marina I was watching him -- he was in very close, one hand steering the other on the rod. If he'd hooked a real big one it would have been very interesting!!!!. My boat is a bit bigger -- so I don't think I'd risk it in that close !!!
