| Folkestone Hi to all I've just signed up to this forum as , after a break of 12 years from fishing my 2 sons aged 10 and 13 have developed an interest in the sport and this has fired me up to start fishing again , Last week we were in Cromer so i went and bought them both a beach caster and fixed spool reel and had a few days fishing in Norfolk, not very succesfully i might add, Anyway this weekeknd we're going to go down to Folkestone racecourse with the caravan and have a fish around Folkestone, can anyone tell me what fish are being caught from the pier and what bait we ought to use many thanks in advance Urlybird |

| Re: Folkestone Fish Princes Parade in Hythe (just along the road), nice shingle beach where you should have some good rod tapping fun - use lug tipped with whiteworm or tipped with squid, mackerel. Whiting, codling, bass, pouting, poor cod, dabs, flounder are what you can expect to catch here. Fish with multi hook rigs and on a flooding tide and over high water. Good luck. |
