Re: Live Sandeel ect? Hi Charlotte, My mate across the road keeps them alive in his big live bait tank, its not a cheap setup though as he has protein skimmers (whatever they are) and filters and all that stuff to keep the water healthy enough for them to survive. You can however keep them alive for a good few hours with a small air pump which you can attach to the side of a bucket, as long as you change the water a regular intervals you shouldt have too many problems. As for the price I think they are about £5 per scoop, I suppose you might get about 100 for that but best ask LUKE as he works in Teignmouth and supplies them. __________________ If you cant catch em-SHOOT EM Air Arms EV2-Competition http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3815/dscf00397bo.jpg Air Arms S410-Hunter http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/4...60751566nw.jpg

Re: Live Sandeel ect? Yes they will last a bit but not too long as you need to aerate the water, also they dont like fluctuations in water temperature, you'll probably find they go into shock and die. How are you planning on catching them? __________________ If you cant catch em-SHOOT EM Air Arms EV2-Competition http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3815/dscf00397bo.jpg Air Arms S410-Hunter http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/4...60751566nw.jpg

Re: Live Sandeel ect? Yeh I suppose but to be honest I wouldnt really waste your time on trying to catch them. Ive never caught sandeels on feathers in 25 years of sea fishing, I've had a few big lance from the boat but not sandeels. For what they cost per scoop its worth the journey to Tiegnmouth to get them. I go every year and get about £15 worth, this will last the whole summer, I just freeze them down in cling film when I get home. They last really well and I think there better than the shop ones, and a damn site cheeper too.!!! __________________ If you cant catch em-SHOOT EM Air Arms EV2-Competition http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/3815/dscf00397bo.jpg Air Arms S410-Hunter http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/4...60751566nw.jpg
