Moving to exmouth, need help

Hi I am moving to exmouth hopefully by june, I am a newbe to sea fishing, been out a bit in france bass fishing on the boat, and had a few off the normandy coast. Can anyone help me out with a few pointers on fishing spots around exmouth, and if anyone would care to take me under their wing for a few sessions, a few pints would be the reward.
Please let me know if you can help out, thanks michael

Re: Moving to exmouth, need help

Hi Michael and welcome to the best forum.

Loads of guys from your area will be along to help, and as Kiwi says, keep your eyes on the forum meets. We often meet up down that way and they are great meets. Well worth the effort of attending...do you drive? Brixham breakwater is a good spot.....I go there to watch other peeps catch while I talk and blank!!!

Simon '4 rods' will be able to help you out and he's often on here, Tommy fishes from Exmouth as well but ony by boat I think.

You are moving to a very good sea fishing area and will have a super time, I fish from Teignmouth by boat and catch loads....except when I take a camera....Why is that> Now that pair trawling has been banned to 12 miles out I think the fishing is just gonna get better and better.

Look forward to your posts,

Regards, Jules.

Re: Moving to exmouth, need help

Thanks to you all, At the moment I am in oxford, miles from anywhere. We have had our offer on the house taken up, and if our own chain does not break down I will be in exmouth within a few months, her indoors will be in oxford a bit longer.
I have fished for bass on my boat just off normandy, due to the very high number of wreaks in the area, there is no need to go much more then a few 100 yards to catch.
Yes I do drive, drink beer, don,t smoke. I am a greying 48 year, who needs to know a whole lot more about fishing. michael

Smile Re: Moving to exmouth, need help

Thanks for that, the boat will be remaining in france, we don,t have the space for it. So a few tips on fishing from the land would be great. and if you know a few good pubs even better
