I would say whitby, all along that east coast is good

I come from Huddersfield as well. Whitby as always been classed as the best venue, but the east coast is noted for good marks from spurn and above. My fishing mate told me the other day that he knows a guy from his old club who caught a 70lb Turbot not long ago, boat fishing. I'm not sure if in was with a Honley or Holmfirth club, it's said it was a record fish. I'm sure some of the more experienced anglers on this site may well know more than I

Just a thought! I'm thinking of fishin Barmston Beach near bridlington at the end of the month, have heard it's a good mark and it's supposed to be a good tide. Don't know about the weather yet. If your interested we could share the costs?
