Smile CHESIL beach for those thorny's this year any ideas.

hi new to this forum stuff so sorry for any mistakes... does anybody know the best place for thornback rays at chesil this time of year. been fishing abbottsbury and west bexi but not much luck. any help will be awsome. went last week and hit into plenty of doggy's all good fun but love catching rays.

chesil is not a venue where i'd target thornies, though i hear of the odd one caught every now and then ,
as far as i know, they are mostly claimed from the almost inaccessable middle section along moonfleet , and even then maybe a result of mistaken identity as undulates show along the length of chesil.
the section where i've seen pictures of small ones is bexy to cogden
there are loads of people out there who know chesil better than i, so perhaps they know different.

for thornies i'd fish the large deep water estuarys to the west like plymouth,
bristol channel marks , or the solent .

but i'd wait to hear more from someone who knows chesil well , coz i don't,
p'raps they do turn up more frequently than i know about but ppl are keeping shtum

ok mabye i will try around plymouth way. thanks for the heads up. i have only had one thornback at chesil 10lb 3 thats it. put up one hell of a fight though.do you have any particular spot in plymouth you would recomend...
