Venue help

Hi new to the forum. Just moved to Poole dorset and was hoping someone could help. Intending to go fishing over the weekend (23/24 jan) and was hoping someone could help with a venue (shore) that's fishing well in the Poole/Bournemouth area. THANS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY REPLYS

Poole quay can be good mate with flounder & flatties mainly otherwise Poole harbour is a school bass nursery so you might pick up a bass or 2 if your lucky. Friends of mine fish the stud land side of the chain ferry but you could try fishing on the corner by the rocks behind the hotels there on the Poole side of the chain ferry that's supposed to be good as well. I like to fish hengistbury head but that's a bit out of your way towards Southbourne that is. Hope that gives you a heads up just ask in your local tackle shop they'll tell you how places are fishing if you get stuck. Good luck & welcome to the forum.

Hi thanks for the welcome and for the venue tips. A couple of you mention Studland but don't say exactly where, i remember Jerry point from my younger days, is it anywhere near there you mean. Sorry to be so cheeky but not having fished (sea) for the past 4 years i am really keen to catch something.
