when do they run (BOSTON)

I do most of my fishing in boston harbor and the sorrounding
islands. What I would like to know is when certin fish are running
like mac,s strippers's blues and Cod and where and when to get them.
I have a small little 20fter so I don't go passed the B bouy much.
I have only been salt water fishing for a couple of years I
spend most of the time freshwater on the fly.
Any help would be greatly appricated
