First post- and off to hayling, any tips please

Hi all
This is my first post on this great site
Ive been reading for about a week now on here and especially about hayling and local marks as i live near emsworth.

Its been 15 odd years since ive fished and even then i didnt do much but am getting back into it slowly..... spent the whole of last saturday getting rained on at pagham and drew a big blank, never mind was nice to get out.

Me and two more experienced friends are going to hayling this thursday for the morning tide, 11.30am.

I was thinking eaststoke, any clues as to how that area is fishing recently? or any other spots close by fishing better at the mo, bass and smoothounds would be nice
any help or tips on spots around that area and bait/rigs would be great.
oh and is it full of bait eating crabs around there (like pagham)??

hope to meet up with some of you local guys in the future.
