 India -happening I always felt that India had never got its due as an international fishing destination. Then the Mahseer happened and it caught them all from the most famaous to the wannabes..they all amde a beeline to the Cauvery camps. Now India can be listed in the sea fish destinations also with some very fast and very powerful boats there for the taking in the Andamans, India. The fish in the Andamans have always been there but now one can indulge in some world class fishing with these boats. I do not know when the governement will wake up to the angling opportunity or may be it is better asleep...things work better when governments do nothing! So if any body needs any info on hot happening angling in India     |

| Re: India -happening Welcome to the Forum Dogand. Saw some big fish when I was snorkeling in Goa a few years back. Could'nt find a charter boat anywhere... | Re: India -happening charter boats are definetley operating in the Andamans now..some come in from Thialand, they provide fishing enroute. But the better ones are the Andamans itself..local boat local crew so better fishing for us! |

| Re: India -happening Yep, I dived off the coast in Goa and have to say that was the most abundant sea life I have ever seen, and I've dived all over the world. Would be keen to throw a line in, if I ever get the chance. |

| Re: India -happening Diving off in Goa sounds exciting...I have had a couple of friends do that. But they still can not stop raving about Andamans..say it is super superlative...beyond belief...especially since the area has absolutely no commercial activity.I believe that is going to change soon with the local governement encouraging commercial fishing?This has found great opposition from environmetalists..so this is stll far off |

| Re: India -happening hi there,there is now an outfit in the north of goa in anjuna that has a 24 ft sportsfishing boat and does trips.i dont know if i am allowed to give the web address on this site but if you google goa-sportsfishing it should come up,happy fishing  |
