Lyme Regis I'm off to a little village near to Lyme Regis for a short holliday. I have two beach casters but know nothing about sea fishing! Is it worth me having a go from the wall at Lyme harbour?

Re: Lyme Regis Welcome to the Forum. Definately worth a try Steve, although I believe it's quite snaggy off the wall & may be better suited to float fishing. Fishing off local beaches may be a better bet. At at the local tackle shop ( http://www.tackleboxlymeregis.co.uk/ ) for advice on rigs, baits & where to fish. Good luck & let us know how you get on. __________________ "The fish and I were both stunned and disbelieving to find ourselves connected by a line." William Humphrey "

Re: Lyme Regis I have had some fun eves float fishing from the cob, using short light rods, and bits of mackeral, caught small pollock. I have heard of bass being caught below large cigar floats in the harbour, with strips of mackeral belly as bait, but as Greenheart suggested try some of the local beaches.
