Help for a complete newbie :) Hello :) I am making a visit to Exeter Angling center on thursday to talk to the guys there about starting beach fishing, I have never fished before so I am complete newbie. I've been searching this site for a few hours now and the info on here is great :) I'd like a bit of advice though. I live in Exeter and would like to start fishing off of Teignmouth, Dawlish, Exmouth etc, etc. I'd like to know some other good spots or if the above mentioned places are worth traveling to or should I try somewhere like Jacobs ladder ? What could I expect to catch off of teignmouth (if anything ?!) I really am a total newbie so any advice would be great. What are the best times to go fishing ? Is it as easy as casting the line and reeling it in ? ( i doubt it is !!!) Are there any good guides on this site that I could read about my local area's beach fishing ? Thanks in advanced Leigh

Hi Leigh, the best advice I can give you is to watch the going fishing posts & wait until Pingu & Baggie rich are planning a trip. They both come from the Exmouth area & know all of the hotspots. I'm sure they won't mind you tagging along & I guarantee you'll have a great laugh & learn loads. Ask Pingu for details of the Exmouth Sea Angling club too. Oh & make sure he shares his special pies... Good luck. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

Re: Help for a complete newbie :) Thanks for the reply, Would Pingu & Baggie really want a total newbie 'slowing' them down !. I'd be asking them for help and advice every 30 seconds :) !!

Re: Help for a complete newbie :) Knowing Dave (Pingu) i'm sure he won't mind. That's what this Forum is all about. A very friendly bunch. Why don't you drop Pingu a PM & ask. He's on here most evenings, when he's not fishing... __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...
