Hi Demetri,

If you are going there in a Month I would very much be surprised if you picked up any mackerel. You normally have to wait another month on top of that and even then they will be a bit thin on the ground.

Re: mackral fishing info needed

hi demitri
well although i can see dawlish from my house is not area fish often

in april there may be some mackeral starting to show but only if good spell of warm weather, last year my first was april but was a cracking month weaher wise

the beach at dawlish is flat and sandy, you may still pick up a stray flounder but should be out to sea by then
doggies and pout at night i guess as we are plagued with them our side of eastuary

dawlish is known for the bass as well , but again this will be weather dependant, instead of main tourist beach(funfair area) go right and past the big rock to small beach there(sorry cant think of name) on the way you pass a rock wall seen plenty fish for the wrasse and makkie there on the floayt to save tackle loss

if i hear of anything else happenening by then i will post, there are others who fish there more than me, if they built a new bridge would be 5 min instead of 50 min to get there
hope this helps
dave
