Dawlish Warren - Where to fish..

I'm Demetri and will soon be 12 years old. I'm going to Dawlish Warren for a week in April and wonder if anybody can tell me where is the best place to fish. went to Cornwall last year and tried to fish from the beach but caught nothing. So paid to go on a fishing boat trip, sure I would catch loads, but, it wasnt to be I caught ..again.. nothing. Someone please help me I am desperate to catch at least one fish, can you fish from the beach/sea wall in Dawlish? Aparently the fishing boat trips from the river Exe dont start until June, so won't be going on a boat.
