| Solent area Hi, Im looking for a few new places to try around the Solent. Currently I fish Milford, Hordle, Barton, Taddiford, Hythe, Lepe, Parkshore, Sowley, Eastney, Hill Head and Town Quay (Southampton)! I guess that is a fair few but I would like to try a few new areas. I keep thinking about fishing Old Portsmouth but don't know alot about it, along with Gilkicker point and Haslar wall. I would also like to know of a few marks where I can try out spinning for Bass. If anyone would like info on any marks that I fish just let me know and I will try and help. | Re: Solent area hi bagstar, here's a list of solent venues i've fishes over the last 30 odd years that aren't on your list;- west to east,- pennington, calshot, magazine lane roller mills weston shore, netley, westfeild common, hamble common, lee on solent, stokes bay, some of which i know a bit about while others i may only have fished once or twice, pm me if any interest you though there's lots of info in old catch reports. gord. __________________ 2008, sessions..18 total blanks..2, species,..15, its easier for a man to destroy the light within himself than to defeat the darkness all around him. |

| Re: Solent area I haven't fished Taddiford for a while but my friend fished there last week and had two Bass just over a pound in weight and a trusty Dog fish! We both fished Barton On Sea last week and both blanked but he was also there the week before and had a few Rays, so the area is fishing rather well at the moment but the trawlers have also been working the area! __________________ http://bagstar-birdsnests.blogspot.com/ |
