Re: scarborough or surround

The harbour wall is good at hight tide. Marine drive is also good but if you want to avoid a long walk to get there, you will have to take a short ladder with you. I prefer to fish Filey Brigg. Green rock on the north side of the Brigg is a good place to start. The last time I fished there I had a good catch a Makies and whiting!

Good luck where ever you choose.

Tom
Try the rock edges and kelp beds at the Brigg in Filey.
Tough gear, rotten bottoms and big crab and mussel baits.
Expect cod, wrasse, pollack and coalfish.
It's fishing quite well at the moment - low water best.
Hope this helps.

Re: scarborough or surround

Nice one Paul! I was wondering how the Brigg was fishing. Me and a couple of mates from work were planning on a weekend in Filey sometime soon!

Re: scarborough or surround

If you are a mountain goat you used to be able to park on the top of the Brigg near the camp site (it has been a while and I don't know if you still can).
It is quite a walk down the side of the Brigg if you are carrying a lot of gear.
If you get there early you should be able to park on the sea front and walk along the Brigg. Once you are parked getting on to the Brigg is just a matter of walking.
