American Couple Lure Fishing At Boon Ma Farm (Thailand)

Finally I get to meet Nick, a nice american guy & his lovely wife. In facts, his wife is from Northeast part of Thailand, same as my wife. They've both planned this vacation trip many mths back & I tried my best to make the day as perfect as possible for them. The same I always done for all my coming fishing kakis.

This long planned thailand trip, they've planned to visit their mum (Nick's in-law) & at the same time have some great fishing activites in bkk & Phuket before they return to America.

Nick is not the first time fishing & engaging a guide in bkk. He had ever engaged this foreign guide Jean-Francois from France some 3 years back when he went Bungsamrun fishing for mekong catfishes. Just that , he happened to read about my fishingblog and bumped into this forum and thus he wanted to give me a try for my service. Thanks mate !!

This is what happened yesterday at Boon Ma farm.

His wife told me that Nick has planned this fishing trip for a long time and excited about it. True enough, we've been corresponsing through PM some 2 mths back.

On the day of the fishing, I met up with them in their service apt hotel @ around 7.00 am. I stopped at one of the gas station for them to buy some extra drinks , morning breakfast & some nice grinded hot coffee to take inside my car.

When we arrived at Boon ma at around 8.30am, there were already 2 foreigners fishing next to our allocated pond for that day. Been informed by the fish handler that these 2 foreigners have been fishing here in Boon Ma for the past 2 days and this is their 3rd days here. Tomorrow they'll be flying off to phuket.

Without delayed, Nick quickly setup his tackles. He got 1 light tackle setup for his wife & another for himself, with 1 spare just in case. Morning bite rate was not so promising but in afternoon after our lunch at Bor Nom pay pond, he & his wife have a constant catches & hits.

They will be flying off to Udon today to visit their in-law and then after that to Phuket. If time permit, they might do another 1 more day of Boon Ma or IT Monster fishing trip with me before they return to America.

Nick's wife was excited to show all her friends back in america those exciting video clips and photos I took for them. They've fished many mekong catfishes in BSR before and nothing beat a barramundi game fishing in Boon Ma. The wife prefers luring for barramundi than fighting mekong, that what she told me in the car.
I think they will be back for more when they visit thailand again.

Nick managed to land a barra using a walk a dog popper before our session ended. What a nice way to end the day fishing with a popper surface actions.

I recommeded this great popular dish of deep fried barra to them.
One of its kind man, I can tell you guys.
Those who have tasted it, will always come back for more.
