Its straightforward really. A ceremony takes place at a secret location decided upon by Richard. He'll let you know by PM. Then he lets the other entrants now so they can attend. You and Steve will have to bring the following 4 items with you:

1. A stiff brush
2. A copy of Reader's Wives
3. Jam
4. A blindfold

After the ceremony has ended (5 hours), you are then allowed to enter the comp. Don't worry, we all went through it last year and none of us suffered any major side-effects, although the swelling and inflammation takes a while to diminish. A few people cry, but its a small price to pay to claim 1.5 points for a pollock.

Hope this helps

Rob

Re: Species Hunt 2007

I agree with the posters and the carp idea, but as i did'nt do it last year,I'll need to find some rules somewhere.like last years?
Also can father and son be a team?

Hey chaps you are being a bit exclusive here! I regularly read the postings (so must many other people) but am a wee bit shy about committing my ideas to the wide world. I've really enjoyed the fishing I've done this year and been tempted to try several new techniques and places to add some unusual species to my personal list.

I caught a Black Goby whilst fishing off the West Coast of Scotland. Can we have that species on the list for next year? And what about the Tom Pot Blennie that my husband Vagabond (and at least one other poster) caught?

Of course, Vagabond, does post from time to time particularly to contribute to fish IDs. He is a wiz on this topic.

I would be most upset to be banned from next years competition.
