Re: December Voting

As you can lose alot of gear where i fish i just use a running leger, this way you can use a long trace aswel, as rays are put off by the feel of tight line i think as they cover the rig.

In the summer live prawn is best bait by far,
In winter when theres none about peelers next, then squid. for some reason iv never had any sucsess on sandeel in the dart?

Re: December Voting

around hear sand eel is a good bait for small eyed ray not sure if they catch many thornies,
thornbacks mostly r caught on prawns from plymouth marks

Re: December Voting

The thornie for me. Two nice flounders but impossible to tell them apart. Ben's fish is a bit different but I go for the thornie as I would love to catch a ray.

Re: December Voting

I would dissagree with the grip lead putting them off steve,

Unless you are on a boat or a slack tide venue then you have no choice aswel, but that is why i use a long trace and clip the hook to the lead wires for more bait freedom.
